Wed Night AA Riverside Men's Group

Hello folks, Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Tomorrow is St. Patrick's day so stay indoors and avoid all contact with all leprechauns (except for Fred, He cool)! This week we're reading chapter 7 on Hope. Also, take note that we are reaching the end of the Being Sober and Becoming Happy book. It's time to start contemplating what comes next. Good evening my good people (and fellow alcoholics too), This week we will be discussing Chapter 7 - Working with Others. One of the most gratifying things this program offers is the chance to work with other alcoholics and witness the process in others. Its can also be, oddly enough, one of the more terrifying parts. I was told you have to give it away if you want to keep it though and the rewards have been many. The sponsor - sponsee relationship is one of the core ingredients in recovery. The beauty is that sponsoring others is just as beneficial, if not more than, being sponsored. If you've gone through the steps and have a year or more of sobriety, sponsoring is the next rung on that ladder. If you haven't got there yet, you can pray for the willingness & the opportunity to do so.
