Good evening folks, Hope everyone enjoyed Super Bowl Sunday. I congratulate both teams for putting on a show of exceptional talent! Also, I wanted to thank last week's speaker Steve W. for sharing his story with such openness and honesty. I thought it was a great exemplification of what it was like, what happened and what it is like now. This week we will be reading & discussing Chapter 3 of  Becoming Sober & Becoming Happy  on the topic of  Surrender & Trust . Good evening folks,         This week we will be covering Chapter 3 - More About Alcoholism .  In case you ever get the odd notion that all the knowledge we've acquired about alcoholism, on its own, will be sufficient  to keep you from that next drink, this chapter aims to show beyond a reasonable doubt that ... "the actual or potential alcoholic, with hardly an exception, will be absolutely unable to stop drinking on the basis of self-knowledge."  (p39). Now that's good information to keep in mind!!!
