Good evening my friends,
As the old saying goes; Better Late than Never!! I got a little caught up in the wackiness of the day-to-day living of a sober alcoholic but anywho..... My Apologies! The most baffling characteristic of alcoholism - both to the alcoholic and to those who must deal with him - is the paradox in which the conflict of sober reality eventually always becomes untenable, leading to the return to alcohol and/or drugs for relief. Then the relief presents an obvious problem.... [so] Neither Sobriety nor its chemical counterpoint can provide a meaningful cessation of the conflict. p.viii
I had to address that issue if I was ever going to have "a meaningful cessation of the conflict."
