Special Speaker Meeting

Good evening,

This Wednesday night we will be having a special Speaker Meeting so no reading and please be on time!! (You know who you are...)

Last week's e-mail was clearly contradictory to the reading, so I'll do my best not to step in it this week... but I make no promises!!

God, where shall I find You? Above me, in the place where You dwell?
And where shall I not find You? The universe is filled with Your glory.
I have sought Your nearness, I have called out to You with all my heart...
and as I went out to seek You, I found You coming towards me.

Just trying to “Be quick to see where religious people are right. Make use of what they have to offer.”

Looking forward...you didn't do anything...sometimes just putting things out there gets everyone to think.. if you want to check out some interesting material on meditation and tapping intuition...I have been using some material from Silva..you can access it on Google...not aligned with any religious context..more of Higher Power and within content. See you manana. Russ

Gutter Bravado p501-511

Good evening Folks, This week we will be reading & discussing  Gutter Bravado p501-511.   One of the great joys of my life is hosting this Wednesday night meeting of which I've had the privileged to serve for some time now. So it gives me a great sense of satisfaction whenever I hear someone, especially a new comer, say that there is  something  special about our meeting. To me it means that the same  something-ness  with which I fell in love with is still there.  Last week, Fred brought up an article originally written in the July 1976 issue of "24 Magazine". The Perpetual Quest p388-397

Good evening everyone, Before I get to the weekly reminder, I wanted to inform everyone, if you didn't know already, that this years  Manual Antonio AA International Convention  is coming up. The convention will be May 6, 7 & 8th (Fri thru Sunday). I think it would be awesome if we could get a group of the wednesday night men's group to go. I even got a hall pass from my significant other already!! You can check out the convention and  register online here  . There are no upfront fees, you pay when you show up. You do need to reserve a hotel room ahead of time and I'd like to get a head count so maybe we can split some rooms between us. Go ahead and take a look at the website and we can discuss everything at the end of the meeting this week.
